Often times, people will say, "I believe in it", in reference to Chinese medicine, chiropractic or homeopathy.  Remember, it is not a belief system but a system of therapies that has been applied for hundreds to thousands of years (in the case of Chinese medicine) because they are effective.  The proof is seen in the patients!

Dickens
When I first called Dr Tyneway I was at the point of not knowing what else to do to save my little miniature Daschund, Dickens.  Apparently, living in a two story home had taken its toll on her back while climbing up and down stairs.  Her illness came on suddenly.  She was whimpering one day, limping the next, and losing control of one back leg on the third day.  I took her to a regular vet and she was given medication and restricted exercise.  She was more comfortable but her condition did not improve.  The started discussing disc surgery which would run me a minimum of $5,000 with no guarantee that it would solve the problem or that the problem wouldn't reoccur if repaired.  I knew that I couldn't afford surgery and had to watch my little dog get worse and eventually lose all control and feeling in her hind quarters.  She was moving around by dragging her back two legs and tugging herself with the power of her front legs.  It was heartbreaking to watch.
I was about to give up and order a cart to make her life more comfortable keep her from injuring herself further when I decided there must be a better way and I wasn't ready to give up yet.  That was when I remembered when acupuncture cured my daughter's back after a cheerleading accident.  I found Dr Tyneway's name and called her.
After only three treatments (and a lot of prayer) Dickens was again responding to touch in her back legs.  After four treatments she was walk/limping.  After five she was walking solidly and after six she was walking securely.  Now several months later she is running and playing once more.  She shows no signs of injury and has a happy, full life.  I am still very careful with her.  I call her my "miracle dog".

Keiki
When we adopted Keiki from the pound we were so happy.  We looked on the L.A. county website every day and when we saw a picture of Keiki we knew she was our dog.  When we picked Keiki up we noted some green discharge coming from her nose and eyes.  We didn't think much of it because she was our first dog.  We brought her home and she rapidly got worse by coughing, wheezing and was extremely lethargic.  I brought her to the first vet and he said that she probably had distemper and there wasn't a lot of hope.  I left very discouraged and started the antibiotics as directed.  She did not improve so that is when I brought her to Newbury Park Veterinary Clinic where Dr Tyneway examined her.  When she agreed that distemper was highly suspicious my heart sank.  I quickly asked if Dr Tyneway had any experience with treating animals with natural remedies.  Of course, she said yes!  After administering herbs and homeopathics Keiki has made a full recovery.   She is a happy and playful dog.  She has a great coat and her paws and nose (which were cracked, dry and flaky) are normal.  I would be very sad if we had lost her.
